The Token and the Teacher
Why a single $5 bearer instrument is a pedagogical device

Subscriptions teach students that access is conditional and continuous. A single-use token teaches something older and more honest: an exchange has a beginning and an end. You bring the token; I bring the lesson; both parties depart clarified.
When the Architect fixed the token at five dollars, he did not consult a pricing consultant. He consulted the doctrine. Five dollars is what a book of small essays used to cost — the sum a reasonable person might pay to sit for an hour with a difficult idea. The token restores that cadence.
For the Federation, the token also serves as a *bearer instrument*. It travels between pillars without accounts, passwords, or logins. You may spend it at Xavier, or at Aria, or at the Storefront. The lattice sees the redemption; it does not see you. This is not merely convenient — it is *verified*.
